Clifton A have the chance to reach the Habershon Cup Final for the first time as they have been drawn away against Scorpions A in the semi-final. The knock out cup is based on players handicaps so although their opponents are top of the league, perhaps with a head start Clifton will be able to pull off what would be a major upset. Phoenix C will play Scorpions C in the other semi-final.
As the Rotherham league draws to a close Clifton will be hoping for a big last push from their B and D teams as they aim to avoid relegation. The B team are five points clear of the drop with four games to play with a big game against bottom team Scorpions B on 3rd April. The D team are four points clear and have two teams below them with five games remaining. The A (Division 1) and C (Division 2) teams have done well to achieve respectable mid table finishes this year. Arguably the best performance of the year so far though has come from the E team who with two new players are currently third in division three. In the Sheffield League Clifton have won a place in Division Two for next year with a win against Hallam Grange A meaning they at guaranteed at least a second place finish. The B team have also secured their place in Division Four as only Dronfield will be relegated.
